Delhomi kennel has been officially registered and protected under the FCI since 2023. The name “Delhomi” is a heartfelt combination of the letters of our very first dogs — Denali, Lhotse, and Clemi (a nickname for Clementine). Each of these names carries a special meaning for us, representing a chapter in the story we are writing with love, dedication, and passion. We are a family-run siberian husky kennel, focused on preserving the quality of the breed while paying attention to show excellence and hobby sports. Our goal is to breed healthy, balanced, and beautiful dogs who are not only stunning in the show ring but also loving, loyal companions for families. While we are deeply involved in the show scene, our priority is always the well-being of our dogs — because behind every achievement lies care, respect, and heart. Our kennel is located in the beautiful Liptov region, surrounded by the Tatras, where the clean mountain air, serene environment, and connection with nature contribute to the health, happiness, and well-being of our dogs.
My personal journey with huskies started long before I dreamed of running a kennel. Dogs were always a natural part of our family life — companions and friends. The turning point came when I was 16 years old, and I brought home my very first dog: Clementine. Clemi was a husky mix with striking blue eyes — not a typical husky in appearance, but her personality, intelligence, and charisma completely captivated me. She opened my heart to the breed and taught me the joy, energy, and bond that only a husky can bring. Clemi became my first “life-changing” dog, inspiring a dream that would eventually grow into our kennel, Delhomi. As the years passed, my initial fascination became a clear goal: to own a husky from top show lines — a dog with exceptional structure, temperament, and elegance, but also one who could thrive as a family companion.
Denali (Brigimerci Lost in Denali’s Love) The first Husky to truly shape Delhomi was Denali. In 2022, my partner Kristián and I decided it was time to bring home our dream dog. Through connections, we found a stunning red female husky in Romania, and after two months of preparation, Denali joined our family. Denali opened the doors to the world of dog shows. She taught me about structure, movement, temperament, and the discipline required to breed high-quality dogs. More than that, she became the foundation of our kennel, a guiding light, and an inspiration for everything we aim to achieve.
Lhotse (Balistaryus Just Lhotse) About a year and a half after Denali’s arrival, my heart longed for another female — one with a gentler temperament, a calm energy, and a unique presence. After careful searching, we found Lhotse, a silver female from Portugal who immediately captivated us with her elegance and soft personality. Lhotse fit perfectly into our family, bringing balance, sensitivity, and serenity. She showed me that huskies can also embody calm and quiet strength — a different, yet equally authentic expression of the breed.
Gin (Sparkling Wine of Wolf Point) Just months later, a life-changing opportunity appeared on social media: a three-year-old male from a renowned romanian breeder. His photos caught my eye immediately — a well-built red male with an exceptional presence. Two weeks later, we traveled back to Romania to bring Gin home. It was love at first sight. He was not only physically impressive but also exhibited the perfect husky temperament: confident, active, and bonded with people. Gin became our destiny dog, opening new doors for show, but also breeding achievements and forming the core of our growing pack.
At Delhomi, every siberian husky is raised with meticulous attention to health, temperament, and correct structure. Show results serve as an important confirmation of our work, proving the quality and direction of our breeding program on an international level. However, we never allow ambition to come before the well-being of our dogs. Not every puppy in a litter has the same show or breeding potential. That’s why we carefully select only the most exceptional individuals to continue our lines, ensuring that each generation meets the highest standards. We work with valuable imported bloodlines, and their controlled, thoughtful development is essential to our breeding philosophy. We are committed to preserving the authentic siberian husky — from movement and anatomy to character and the unique spirit of the breed. While our dogs compete successfully in the ring, they are equally our partners in daily life. We support their natural love for movement through hikes, winter sports, and plenty of outdoor adventures, ensuring a balanced and fulfilled lifestyle. Our mission is clear: to responsibly breed healthy, type-correct siberian huskies that excel in shows, contribute to the breed, and thrive as loyal companions.
